Update on the Alaska Airlines Single Carrier Transition
AMFA and Alaska Airlines continue to move forward implementing the Transition Agreement which was approved last month, in areas where the National Mediation Board (NMB) single carrier status is not required.
The signing bonus has been paid out to all eligible members, while pay increases have been put into effect on the Boeing side. New positions at critical stations have been posted for bid and filled, the 401(k) increased match is in the works to be implemented prior to NMB single carrier status is finalized, and a single seniority list should be posted by next week so our members can start scrutinizing the accuracy for the protest process after NMB approval.
AMFA is activity engaged with Alaska Airlines management to ensure safety and compliance through a simple matrix of qualification and completed training so our technicians clearly understand what they are qualified and authorized to do. We anticipate an NMB docket number very soon, and will update once we have that.
